Peter Silling’s passion for art and design stems from early roots in Munsterland, the heart of Germany’s furniture manufacturing industry. With training in one of Germany’s most reputable furniture companies, six years working at the well-known fashion house Missoni and then further training in America, he found Peter Silling & Associates in 1995 in Germany focusing on high end luxury hotel design.
The mega luxury “Silling” portfolio started in Sardinia working for HRH Aga Khan and spread from hotel design to condos and private estates. The Vila Vita Parc Hotel in Algarve is still today one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Peter Silling leads the design direction of all projects. His ultimate goal is always on quality. Over twenty years in the hospitality sector, Peter Silling completed an extensive collection of ultra-luxury hospitality projects across different continents worldwide. Peter Silling’s creative intentions are to create custom design for each individual project and, most of all, insure each project has a sense of place and a distinguished design quality.
His successful collaboration with other international design masters like Robert Stein Architects and SOM has led to the completion of numerous 5-star properties in Russia and Kazakhstan, one of the most emerging countries in Europe. Peter Silling’s creativity is highly versatile. Along with the Japanese master, Tado Ando, Peter Silling practices the concept of sensation and the idea of simplicity in the Diaoyutia Arts project in Beijing and a complex ski resort development in Niseko, Japan. Conversely, Peter Silling works with Peter Marino on an ultra-extravagance casino hotel project in Macau which, shall become a landmark in this most vibrant city in Asia.
