Isabelle Miaja, Managing Director, Miaja Design Group
Isabelle grew up in Paris and after graduating as a language major, moved to California to study interior design. On completing her training in 1987, she formed an interior design consultancy in Los Angeles with business partner Robert Arambulo called Robisa Design International. In the years that followed, the duo garnered much critical acclaim for their imaginative work on both commercial properties and private homes across the United States, including a five-star hotel in Toronto and a number of residential projects in New York and Beverly Hills.
Isabelle relocated to Singapore 21 years ago and established the interior design consultancy, Isabelle Miaja & Associates (IMA Interiors Pte. Ltd.), specialising in boutique hotels and high-end residential development projects.
In 2009, IMA Interiors grew to become what is now known as Miaja Design Group with its headquarters in Singapore and continues to expand, with branch offices in Manila and Myanmar. Miaja provides hospitality design solutions for luxury brand hotels, resorts and high-end residential clients across the world.
Isabelle and her team have worked on a wide scope of projects, from historical restoration conversion projects, such as the Sofitel So Singapore, located in the heart of Singapore CBD area, to newly built properties in the Maldives such as the Centara Grand, Viceroy, Amari and newly opened OZEN by Atmosphere.
“The Essence of Style is to Live the Art of Being Unique…” is definitely a mantra that Miaja carries forward with each new project, challenging boundaries and creating beautiful spaces for everyone to enjoy.
