The HI Design Asia Pre-Event gives you the best start possible to the event: one of the unique benefits of HI Design is getting to know a good number of key people properly in a relaxed environment. We think hurtling down the Telaga Waja River in a dinghy full of fellow screaming delegates is bound to help things along. It's also a great opportunity to see some of the most beautiful, rural aspects of Bali from the river, with the added excitement of maneuvering your boat downstream in some of Bali’s faster rain water run-offs from the mountain side.
The thrilling Telaga Waja River adventure begins in the foothills of the sacred Mount Agung. after an in-depth briefing by experienced guides. From the time you drop into the first set of rapids, your adrenalin will be pumping. Led by your guide, in a spray of white clear water, you will rush past steep banks and ancient hanging trees, whilst rafting straight through cascading waterfalls of natural spring water. The guides will give you clear instruction and work with you to safely navigate the raft through twists, turns and inclined rapids.
Raft trip length – 14km
Raft trip time – approx 2.5 hours
To join the trip, you will need to arrive at the Grand Hyatt Bali & Spa on the 6th November - the day before the event starts.
Total cost for the trip is $68. This includes transport, raft guide and trainer, rafting safety equipment (life jacket, helmet), buffet lunch, towel and shower facilities. Insurance cover, provided SOBEK Rafting, is included in trip price. All participants take part at their own risk.
At least one of the HI Design crew will be joining you. They will be choosing straws.
