The Operators Panel – what are they looking for?

Speaker: Brian Diederich, Vice President, Asian Division for Wynn Design and Development

Brian began his career in 1995 working as an Interior Designer at Atlandia Design & Furnishings, a subsidiary company to Mirage Resorts.

He worked along side DeRuyter Butler and Roger Thomas to develop hotels for Mr. Wynn such as Bellagio in Las Vegas and Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Upon completion of Bellagio in 1998, Brian moved to Biloxi to work in the Development and Construction Team for Beau Rivage.

In 2000, Brian moved back to Las Vegas to join Mr. Wynn in his new development project “Wynn Las Vegas”. He worked as an Interior Designer on this project developing interior designs with Roger Thomas to create and invent a new design vocabulary for Wynn Resorts.

In 2003, Brian stepped in to the development side of Wynn Design and Development to manage the design work for Wynn Macau which opened in 2006. Following this project, Brian returned to Las Vegas as Director of Design for Encore Las Vegas, which opened in 2008. Currently, Brian is Vice President – Asian Division of Wynn Design and Development – Macau.  He is leading the design and development of Hotel / Casino Projects in Macau. Encore Macau is the most recent project completed which opened in April 2010.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Interior Architecture – Kansas State University.
